I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Los Angeles, CA. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography from Otis College of Art + Design, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles with a specialization in Spiritual and Depth Psychology. I have attended workshops and trainings on the treatment of complex trauma, somatic experiencing, and internal family systems modalities. I am currently working toward my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
My approach is to create a space of non-judgement, sensitivity, confidentiality, and creativity. I work primarily from a psychodynamic lens, focusing on unconscious thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that can inform behavior. This therapeutic style is a process of deep self-reflection which creates better awareness, self-compassion, and individuation. I work relationally, understanding that human beings are shaped by their environments and relationships with others. I am somatically oriented, recognizing the mind body connection, and how this affects our whole selves. I am also holistically minded appreciating that each individual has many parts that need to be explored, seen, heard, and understood.
I view the therapeutic process of working with individuals and couples as deeply meaningful and transformative work. Humans are unique and complex beings who have many experiences, thoughts, and emotions. The word psychotherapy can be broken down and translated to the tending of the soul. I understand and appreciate that sharing this space with you is an honor and a privilege.
